Objectives:
Teach, learn and share different methods of fabrication for industrial designers, architects, and engineers where Rhinoceros is involved in any cycle of the manufacturing process.
This RhinoFabStudio community is a great place for sharing information about hardware used to fabricate your ideas, your digital models and your Grasshopper definitions.
RhinoFabStudio is open to everyone and welcomes any Rhinoceros compatible program that helps you accomplish your ideas.
RhinoFabStudio urges all Rhino ARTs and ARTCs to post your events, workshops and classes which pertain to fabrication methods and/or processes.

EDD: Envisioning Design Day 2024, Milan (Italy) - Save the Date!

 


Curious to discover the new frontiers of design? Attend Envisioning Design Day (EDD) on June 15, 2024 at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, an opportunity to meet industry professionals, make meaningful connections, and enhance your skills. The day will be filled with masterclasses taught by leading experts and sponsored miniclasses, ideal for enriching one's experience and knowledge. EDD is an event that promises inspiration, learning and new opportunities in the field of design.

ShapeDiver's App Builder: Build web applications entirely from Grasshopper


Build web applications entirely from Grasshopper

Grasshopper users can now design and build parametric web applications with the new App Builder in ShapeDiver.

Why It Matters:

Have you ever used Human UI, UI+ or any of the wonderful interface plugins to build custom interfaces for presentations and sharing with non-technical colleagues? While those tools are great, they remain limited in some contexts:

- How do you share the user-friendly interface with users who do not own a Rhino license?
- How do you give access to the application without sharing the Grasshopper definition?
- How do you make the application accessible through all types of devices, including mobiles?

The new App Builder components solve all these issues at once. They allow the skeleton of a web application to be specified directly inside Grasshopper. After uploading the file to ShapeDiver, you can open and interact with the web application where the interface is parametrically controlled through the logic you defined in Grasshopper!

The App Builder already allows defining all traditional form inputs (sliders, value lists, toggles, file inputs...), as well as formatted text outputs driven by the parametric algorithm and even image widgets. And of course, the online 3D viewer is at the center of it all.
