The Rob|Arch conference series on robotic fabrication in architecture, art, and design was founded by the Association for Robots in Architecture with the goal of bringing together the creative industry with the robotics industry and research community.
Following the previous conferences in Vienna and Michigan, Rob|Arch 2016 took place in Sydney at Walsh Bay, right next to the iconic Harbour Bridge. The conference started out with a series of one-day industry workshops, followed by eight intensive 3-day workshops that gave attendees the chance to gain hands-on robot experience with world-renowned research and industry partners. Over two days, cutting edge research was presented in the conference session, followed by an exhibition of the workshop results and a memorable harbour cruise.
