Through a photoresistor, a servo and a wooden pieces cut with a CNC, we get a module emulating the facade of the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris by Jean Nouvel.
Arduino is responsible for controlling the light readings from the LDR and send an angle mapped to the Servo.
Thanks to Firefly Rhinoceros plugin, get reading also send the LDR mapped to a definition made in Grasshopper, which controlled the shutter opening.
In this way we could analyze the prototype both in physical reality (wooden prototype controlled by the servo) and virtual reality (controlled by Grasshopper).
This exercise was developed during the workshop held at ControlMad' installations (21-22 May) about Arduino + Firefly (Grasshopper) that developed Random[arq] team.
