Converg[o]Colony;
Initial Component Study...
" Converg[o]Colony " is a project initially designed to represent abilities of "Arduino" in combination with "Grasshopper" through the "Firefly" plug-in in the realm of responsive art . This study model is a reflector component of a 2D grid which could track both sun (by the use of presaved patterns and calculation) and walking people (by kinect skeleton tracking feature, which is not presented in this video) in order to reflect sunlight on their body. While the reflectors are made of different metal sheets, the resulted effect on people`s body will be differs from one to one, making a customized cover for every person who has interaction with the system. Brick is used as the base component of the project, to celebrate the old fashion bricklayering style in Persian architecture. (the idea then reproduced in "FaBrickation" workshop, held at University of Tehran, March 2012)
