Scripting offers designers a powerful tool to automate routines, investigate diverse ways to process solutions, and generate intelligent models. This workshop will explore the fundamental concepts and strategic approaches for an effective use of scripts within the creative process. Focusing on implementation within façade design, we will cover a range of techniques including surface panelization, analysis, and variable articulation. Exercises will be delivered through the IronPython/Rhinoscript package with additional content using the GhPython add-on for Grasshopper. Beginners are welcome, but are encouraged to review our introductory online course before arrival to ensure a fun, hands-on, and fast-paced workshop experience.
