“.exedesign” wants to be a "meeting point" between design and companies through the use of new technologies of 3D design, 3D printing, CNC milling cutter and laser cutting.It wants to be a place to promote the "culture of doing", where each creative person, professional (architect, engineer, designer, etc.), company, school and university... everyone can develop their own idea or project by using assisted 3D modeling software allowing them to be able to print with a 3D printer, architectural models, prototypes, products with a short chain and low-cost mini-series.In this regard within FabLab will be organized courses of 3D drawing and 3D printing, while the workshops will serve for practical learning and have different themes each time.The main office and the laboratory of 3D printing are located inside the rooms of the Architecture studio "h(M)D - ho(M)meDESIGN" in Genoa Sestri Ponente. The seat of the courses is located at "Euroforma" where we can rely on two classes equipped one with 12 and the other one with 15 computer stations; as regards to the machineries, some companies distributed on the territory provide us with their equipment during the Workshop (5 axis pantograph SCM, metal laser cutting, etc…).Finally, in addition to the 3d printer "PowerWASP EVO", already in use in the laboratory, other machinery - such as laser cutting 6040/60 Watt, DWS XFAB, MODELA MDX-40A - will be bought for the laboratory.
