Event Description
To maintain comparative edge in today office, it is apparent that designers needs to understand the limitation and possibility of the different digital media has to offer. On one hand the pace and changes in projects requires computation tools to make quick changes, effective communication and accurate coordination while on the other projects are increasing in scale, complexity and design difficulties. Both tendency are very common in china and this post a tough challenge to the design institute to maintain quality and quantity. To deal with this challenge, practices are under great pressure to relearn and adopt to a more flexible and dynamic digital workflow in order to stay ahead of its competitor.
PDUN international workshop, led by professional, practitioners, researchers and technical experts, understand and practice the application of digital tools in a day to day bases and would like to share the knowledge of this digital process through a series of seminars, studio, tutorials and fabrication in a intensive 10 day workshop. PDUN is a promoter of parametric design and we believe knowledge needs to be share, cultivate and grow through a holistic approach to achieve the potential of digital design. Hence PDUN workshop aims to cover a wide range of knowledge from digital design thinking, software techniques, digital fabrication, project case study and basic programming.
PDUN is a well connected and informed 'facebook' network in parametric/ computation design, we are well supported by various institutions, universities and associations. Being a well connected and informed body of knowledge,we are confident that this is the opportunities that opens up a brighter future for designer of tomorrow.
