Hypercrafting Architecture

During this workshop you get introduced with tools for prototyping and model making such as Fablab’s lasercutter and shopbot and you get to know the software package Grasshopper. New tools and software for architects and model makers.
What will you learn?
After the introduction of both Fablab and Grasshopper, we’ll split the group in two. One group with focus on the software the other with focus on Fablab.

During the Grasshopper workshop we will present a ready made Grasshopper system (technical name: 'definition') that can be filled with your own data, in order to ensure participants will be able to actually create a design during this one day workshop. We believe that “Hands-on” experiments provide the best way to learn.

The “'Fablab' group will explore the shopbot and lasercutter.In collaboration we will experiment with the possibilities of the different materials you use for small-scale models and prototypes. Cutting and engraving the materials en experimenting with (press fit) construction methods
