SUMMARY:Digital Provocations: Evolving Computational Approaches to Ped
 agogy and Practice
DESCRIPTION:A symposium on the role of digital technologies in archite
 ctural education and practice.  In an age of ubiquitous computing and 
 ever-increasing connectivity, how can the profession of architecture e
 volve and adapt to a constantly shifting technological landscape? How 
 can architecture schools take on a more proactive leadership role with
 in the discipline and develop curricular initiatives that fully engage
  with the dramatic transformations occurring in practice? This three-d
 ay symposium to be held at the University of Minnesota College of Desi
 gn’s School of Architecture will pose these questions and explore al
 ternative professional and curricular approaches to incorporating digi
 tal technologies in architectural design. Invited participants active 
 in both practice and academia will present case studies demonstrating 
 innovative use of digital technology in realms of design, collaboratio
 n, fabrication, and construction. Monica Ponce de Leon, Dean of the Ta
 ubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at University of Mich
 igan and President of Monica Ponce de Leon Studio, will be delivering
