An inspection lot within the SAP Quality Management module is a formal request to a plant to examine a specific quantity of materials at a plant. Inspection lots, which can also be requests to examine pieces of equipment or functional locations, are documented by an inspection lot record in the SAP system.
The inspection lot will be created once GR is saved. The reason for inspection lot in create state is the material master may be not assigned to your inspection plan.
