Remove the Explora power cable from the power source Unscrew the white cable at the back of the decoder coming from the LNB Leave cables unplugged for a period of 3 minutes Screw back the white LNB cable you removed in Step 4 Put back the power cable you removed in Step 3 Insert the smartcard you removed in Step 1 Switch on your Decoder The new DStv Explora - Model 3A - went on sale in November 2018. The Explora 3 features 110 hours of recording space, and does away with the front panel where the channel number would normally be displayed. It includes an A7 Remote with batteries, an HDMI cable, and a small smart card which is already installed in the decoder.
